Hong Island Sunset Tour with BBQ Dinner and Night Snorkeling by Longtail Boat from Krabi
The original Koh Hong sunset trip
Highlights
- Experience a spectacular sunset BBQ at Pakbia Island
- Cruise into the “secret” Hong Lagoon
- Swim at paradise-like islands of Koh Hong
- Climb up to the viewpoint with a 360° panoramic view
- Enjoy bioluminescent plankton and night swimming at Koh Raeng
What can you expect
Start the sunset trip with a convenient pickup service at midday from your hotel in Krabi. Undergo a short health check-up by the crew of Krabi Sunset Tours at Nopparat Thara Pier in Ao Nang. Depart by traditional longtail boat and head over to the Hong Island archipelago in just a few minutes.
Explore Koh Hong with its beautiful secluded lagoons and many inlets surrounded by towering limestone cliffs. Enjoy time with swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing at white sand beaches, and if the beach isn't full of people you can even spot giant Monitor lizards roaming freely on the island. Don't miss the spectacular panoramic view to the surrounding Andaman islands from the recently opened 360° viewpoint.
Cruise into the stunning emerald lagoon of Hong Island on its north side to make great photos. Head further to Pakbia Island for some fantastic snorkeling opportunities. See a wide array of tropical fish and other marine animals, and finally enjoy a sunset BBQ dinner right at the small beach.
After the sun goes down, do some night snorkeling at Koh Raeng where you can see the spectacular natural phenomena of bioluminescent plankton, before being brought back to the pier and to your hotel with lasting memories.

Important
- Bring a towel, waterproof bag, swimwear, sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses, flip flops and a camera.
- During certain seasons, jellyfish may be present in the Andaman Sea, and contact can cause skin irritation or discomfort. To minimize the risk, we recommend wearing protective clothing such as watershoes and long swimwear when swimming.
- Ensuring your safety is our top priority. To that end, we strongly recommend wearing a life jacket throughout the entire boat ride to the islands and while snorkeling.
- Longtail boats navigate close to the shoreline, allowing passengers a convenient and effortless transition to the beach.
- While flip-flops are convenient, water shoes offer better protection against sharp objects like shells or rocks on the sand, and provide improved traction on wet surfaces.
- Shorts are ideal as they dry quickly and allow for greater freedom of movement, especially if the water level reaches above your knees when getting on or off the boat.
- This tour is not recommended for pregnant women, infants under 2 years or people with back or neck problems.
- There is a minimum of 6 people required to run this activity! On the rare occasion that we should be required to cancel this trip, we will inform you in advance and offer a different travel date, an alternative activity or provide a full refund.
