What can you expect
Enjoy a full-day of relaxation on this speed boat trip to Phi Phi Islands, lapped by turquoise waters and shaded by towering limestone rocks. Scene of the blockbuster movie “The Beach”, Phi Phi is a paradise destination just 48 km from the mainland in Krabi Thailand.
You will be collected from your hotel in Ao Nang, Krabi Town, Ao Nam Mao, Klong Muang or Tubkaek Beach in the morning, the exact pickup time will be indicated at time of confirmation. Check in with the Sea Eagle Tour crew at Nopparat Thara Pier and cruise over to Koh Phi Phi Leh on a comfortable speed boat with a limited number of 45 seats. On the way we will pick up other guests staying at Railay Beach.
The first stop will be at Loh Samah Bay where you can climb from a floating pier over the rocks to an elevated wooden trail which leads to the beach at Maya Bay. Here you can touch the white sand and dangle your feet into the turquoise water. You will have approximately 50 minutes to enjoy on one of the most stunning locations in Thailand, and if you lucky you can witness black tip reef sharks swimming in the shallows.
Notable rules at Maya Bay include no swimming, no single-use plastics, using reef-safe sunscreen and no use of drones without permission. Please remember that Maya Bay will be closed every year for 2 months during low season, usually in August and September.
Take spectacular photos of the 600 m long Phileh Lagoon framed by 100 m tall limestone cliffs and snorkel on the east side of Phi Phi Leh on coral reefs with crystal-clear waters. There is also an optional ride by longtail boat available to explore small coves at a small extra fee if you like.
Then slowly past Viking Cave to see where the Phi Phi birds nest soup are harvested. As we cruise onward, get ready to be dazzled by Monkey Beach. This 150-meter gem, nestled on the southwestern shore of Tonsai Bay, boasts powdery white sand lapped by emerald waters. Lush vegetation climbs the cliffs behind the beach, creating a haven for a colony of monkeys. Keep your eyes peeled – at low tide, you might spot them playfully foraging for breakfast right on the shore. While we won't be stopping at the beach itself, this glimpse of paradise is sure to be a highlight.
At midday you will stop on Phi Phi Don, the larger of the 2 sister islands. A rich Thai buffet lunch is served in Phi Phi Arida restaurant. Then it's time to explore the island path of Ton Sai which offers average tourist facilities along the beautiful curved bays of Ton Sai and Loh Dalum Bay.
The last stop will be on the tiny and flat island named Koh Mai Pai, which is also known as Bamboo Island. It is covered by lush vegetation and entirely surrounded by a strip of white sand and a reef that spreads up to 500 m from the shore. The uninhabited paradise location 5 km off the northern tip of Koh Phi Phi Don provides its masked and finned visitors with the feeling of swimming in an aquarium.
Head back to the mainland with a short stopover to drop-off customers at Railay Beach, before returning to your hotel.

Important
- Bring a towel, waterproof bag, swimwear, sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses, water shoes or flip flops and a camera.
- Thailand's Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation will close Maya Bay every year for 2 months in August and September.
- Notable rules at Maya Bay include no swimming, no single-use plastics, using reef-safe sunscreen and no use of drones without permission.
- While Monkey Beach isn't a direct stop, you can still observe the monkeys when the tide is low.
- Don't feed the monkeys as it makes them aggressive and stops them from foraging for food as they would normally do.
- During certain seasons, jellyfish may be present in the Andaman Sea, and contact can cause skin irritation or discomfort. To minimize the risk, we recommend wearing protective clothing such as watershoes and long swimwear when swimming.
- Ensuring your safety is our top priority. To that end, we strongly recommend wearing a life jacket throughout the entire boat ride to the islands and while snorkeling.
- Speedboats navigate close to the shoreline, allowing passengers a convenient and effortless transition to the beach.
- While flip-flops are convenient, water shoes offer better protection against sharp objects like shells or rocks on the sand, and provide improved traction on wet surfaces.
- Shorts are ideal as they dry quickly and allow for greater freedom of movement, especially if the water level reaches above your knees when getting on or off the boat.
- This tour is not recommended for infants under 3 years old, pregnant women or people with back or neck problems.
- There is a minimum of 7 people required to run this activity! On the rare occasion that we should be required to cancel this trip, we will inform you in advance and offer a different travel date, an alternative activity or provide a full refund.
